Meeting Baby Cohen

We went to Mountain Home and when we got there, we all got together at Darla's to eat yummy hamburgers and meet Cohen Collins. He is so precious!! He looks JUST like Cody did...it is amazing!

Cort was so precious with him! He kept saying "I hold Baby Cohen?" He kissed him and rubbed his feet. (Anne-Camille has some great pictures on her blog too!

Madeline was more comfortable than I was! She cracks me up! Such a little adult she is! AC and I went to the pool while I was there and she packed our pool bag!!!

I believe this is the point where Cort had had enough:) AC said one more picture and then decided to take just one more...as you see he was not having it:)

My Birthday!!!

Some of Shane's good friends came in the weekend of my birthday, so me, Taylor, Sweets, Aunt Gaitha, Momma and Daddy went to the aquarium while the boys played golf...don't worry, I'm not posting anymore aquarium pictures:) We had so much fun together! These are pictures of us on the DART. Sweets had never been on the DART before and she loved it! She told us she was going to pack her lunch one day and just ride the DART all day long, anywhere she wanted to go. LOVE HER:) The last picture is what we found when we came home. Glof had worn the boys out! Eli stayed alseep for a while but most the other guys woke up before I could get out my camera so they are acting!

Collins Visit

I started finding all sorts of pictures when I was cleaning out my memory card. I wrote but didn't post any pictures of when Sam, AC and the kiddos came to visit. The girls loved Sampson...but he was not to sure about them at first. I walked in our bedroom and all I say were little feet:)
By the end they had won his heart and he was purring like a crazy cat on Madeline!

Catching Up

So I have been a horrible blogger. I thought that when summer came I would be doing nothing, that was a mistake. We have been able to relax but we have been so busy! So I thought I could do a long update and those who love us will read it:)

First of all Shane and I are having a wonderful time having our summer vacation together!! It has been wonderful!

Our adventures started at the end of May when we went to Florida for Melissa's wedding. It was a total blast! It was the crew from Bonham back together again and we all had so much fun. Laura, Angie, and Josh drove. Me, Shane, Sarah, and Jeremiah flew. But of course Shane and I got bumped from the flight and didn't get there until midnight. The next day it rained but we made the best of it and built sandcastles and rode waves in the rain. Saturday we had the wedding and it was great. Ben and Melissa are so much in love and Melissa looked so beautiful!

When we got back it was time to move into the house (between Shane having finals, me walking with 60 first graders to the park, public library, taking them to the zoo...) It was a little stressful but now we are in and we love it.

Not long after we moved in Taylor came to spend the night and went to school to see my kids. And we all took Shane out and celebrated his birthday!! When she left, Sam and AC came with the kids. It was short but fun! They got to see our schools, we had good Mexican food and the girls loved playing with Sampson. Then we all headed to Tony and Lindsey's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and we danced the night away at the reception.

We came back and I spent most of the time in Bonham. Taylor is here for the summer while Ryan studies for the bar so it has been absolutely wonderful!! We have had so much fun but it will make it that much harder for her to leave us again:( Then it was time to head to Windom where we met the Case's and Cox's and jammed to the music of David Trout and the Band. Taylor and I also sang with the band...and it will probably be the last. But we had a great time seeing the Case's and the Cox's and playing with Tyler the dancing queen and Weston the swing king!

Then Taylor came back and spent the week with us...where we will forever be in debt to her service because she came with us to our apartment and pack up the remaining junk and we cleaned to three hours with NO air conditioning in the June Texas heat. We appreciate her and will now do anything to help her! We have been having so much fun cooking, watching old videos, lots of laughing (poor Shane). Then we had all the girls over and watched old videos from back in the day. We didn't realize it at the time, but we loved growing up in Bonham and all those small town memories!

And now for the most exciting news of the summer...Shane and I are officially an Uncle and Aunt! Shane's brother and Cristy had a precious baby boy! He is just adorable and we can't wait to get to Mountain Home and see them!

I probably forgot some things but that is most of it. Oh, Shane and I had a lot of fun celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary. We ate what else but Mexican food, annual tradition of putt-putt (this started in college when we had no money:) and wanted something fun) and then came home and watched the notebook...it was great!

Movin On Up!

It's official! Shane and I are first time home owners!! We are so excited. We closed last Thursday but we won't move until after school's out:( I have really tried to work on Shane, but he won't give in. We are so busy over the next few weeks... so it makes sense, but I'm so excited it's hard to wait! It's in McKinney so we will have a short drive in the morning, but we really love the area that it's in and it's only 30 min. to Momma and Daddy's house. We have three extra bedrooms so come and visit!!

My (other) Man

Don't worry, Shane knows:) So, last Monday we went to see BON JOVI! It was sooo much fun! Daughtry opened and they were great! It pains me to say this, but Shane actually liked him better than Jon. The pictures aren't great, neither is the video, but I'm going to show them anyway. Beware there are a lot. Also some video that is not so hot, but I have promised it to some gals that didn't get to come along. Mostly you can hear me and my friend Euan screaming and sometimes "singing" if you're lucky. That would also be part of the reason that I had no voice ALL week! Here they are...

By the end of the night, Shane was finished with the fun. We rode the DART which was great going, but coming back they only had 2 trains...yes 2 coming from American Airlines Center. We rode halfway and then had to switch trains and wait 45 min for the last train of the nignt. We finally got home a little after 1am...got up about 4 hours later and went to work.
Okay, you got lucky. The video is taking so long, I am only uploading one. Never fear...I might have the energy to upload more later.

Great Visit

Tyler was my buddy...I finally found someone who likes to dance around as much as I do:)
It was short but great! Shane, Momma, and I got to see the Case's and they had Tyler and Weston with them! They are so cute and we don't get to see them often, so it was a treat. We even got to stick around long enough to get a short visit in with Kyla.

Dinner

So, we were all going out to dinner and Sarah made a comment about Jeremiah's shirt...so he went back in the closet and by the time they got to our apartment this is what he looked like. Hat, fly fishing shirt with huge pockets and vented sides, hiked up pants, and boots. Lovely!

He was bound and determine to wear that in, but he finally changed when we were out in the parking lot walking in.

Feeling Better!!

I know one person who is really happy to see Shane feeling better!
