I put Shane's softball blog on and now I am feeling like updating. It's been so long, I don't know if people are still checking my blog but I know a few people who would like to know what's going on:) Here is what we have been up to the last couple of months. We are in our second week of summer and it's great! It got off to a bumpy start last Monday. Mimi had a heart attack while visiting Poppy at the Cosper Center. She stayed in the hospital a few days, they put in a pace maker, and Shane I brought her home on Thursday and stayed with her that night. Gaitha came the next day to stay with her for a while. She's doing a little better but she is still very weak.
Shane has been playing a lot of golf and softball. I got him a Wii for his birthday and my arm was sore from playing tennis:) The "bonham" girls got to go to Farmersville and stay last weekend. We had so much fun being together and as always were spoiled rotten by Angie's mom. She is the BEST cook!!! Shane kept asking...this is just a girls trip? The boys will soon get to go too to fish and get home cooking!
We will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday, then Monday off to Mountain Home for a visit and our annual canoe trip. Speaking of Mountain Home, Darla and Tom got to come down this spring! It's the first time they had seen our new house with furniture in it. Shane was so excited that they came and we had a great time. We took them out to the Jimmy Buffet concert and saw all the crazy parrot heads...too funny!
We also went to the Kenney Chesney concert in May that got rained out...and I do mean RAINED! The pics are too funny so I will try to post them later. Of course we all thought oh, some light rain...no big deal. It poured!! We used ponchos and trash bags to keep dry...which we did not. Taylor and I shared a poncho. I had my head out one arm and she had hers out the other!
Pictures from Sam and AC's visit. We had such a great time. Can't wait to see them in a few days!
The cousins from Jedda's going away party. He will be in Leon, Mexico for 18 months doing mission work. We are so proud of him! We know God will use him for great things!!
Rough Riders Game
Kristen with Aubrey, Taylor, Stacey and Laine. Shane kept a watch for fly balls so we could do what we do best...talk!
My school at relay for life. We had a great turn out and raised a ton of money for research! We also won most spirited:)
